About the Clurb

Someone had the idea. Others agreed. A date was set. Drinks were made. This happened again. And again. At some point it became a thing with a name, and the name was Cocktail Clurb. The misspelling is intentional. No further explanation has been offered.

Each gathering has a theme. Themes range from the straightforward to the theatrical. Each couple arrives with an original cocktail named to fit the theme. Drinks are tasted. Notes are taken, or at least made. At the end of the evening, everyone votes individually. A winning couple is declared. The winning couple receives recognition. Recognition is everything.

The Clurb is not accepting new members. This is not a policy so much as a practical reality. Membership has been stable for some time. The group is small enough to fit around a table and large enough to generate a reasonable vote count. Both of these things are considered ideal.

Recipes needed a home. Results needed a record. The lore was accumulating without a proper archive. This website is that archive. It is also, technically, open to the public, which was not originally planned but seems fine.
